I want to challenge you?
My career as an artist, traveling from Ireland to the USA to Asia, had diverse influences and developments that shaped my artistic work. Such a geographical and cultural journey offers me the opportunity to experience and integrate different artistic styles, techniques and cultural perspectives.
My name is Bram Madadhan and my starting point began in my native Ireland and left me deeply rooted in the rich tradition of Irish art, often characterized by folklore, landscapes and historical narratives. I was inspired by picturesque nature, Celtic symbols and history.
After moving to the USA, I was exposed to a wide range of modern and contemporary art. The art scene in cities like New York, Los Angeles or Chicago is dynamic and diverse, with influences from all over the world and access to some of the largest art museums and galleries. Here I was able to explore new techniques such as digital art, performance and multimedia installations alongside traditional techniques.
The third leg of the trip leads to Asia, where I found a completely different artistic landscape. Countries such as Japan, China, South Korea and India offer a rich range of traditional and modern art forms. In Asia I was able to learn about traditional methods such as calligraphy, ink painting or the fine details of classical thangka painting, while also experiencing contemporary art movements and their global connections.
Each of these locations contributed to my development by enriching my work with new techniques, materials and thematic content. These geographical transitions also enable profound personal and professional transformation, influenced by encounters with different cultures and artistic communities.
